Note	Obituary: Douglas Albert Robbins was born on April 20, 1925 in Waco, Texas to William Gentry Robbins Sr. and Thelma ‎(Stigall)‎ Robbins. He was united in marriage to Nann Mary Camp Reid on August 23, 1971 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Pastor Robbins was ordained in Thawville, Illinois in 1960 and became a beloved, longtime minister in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, faithfully serving congregations in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Texas. He retired as the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Old Dime Box, Texas on November 26, 2006. Pastor Robbins passed away the morning of Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at his home in Old Dime Box, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Nann; his brother, William Gentry Robbins Jr. and his sister, Margarette Arnim. He is survived by four children from his marriage to Lorraine Margaret Fritsche: Jo Ann Combs of Miles, Iowa, Eloiese "Essie" Krabbenhoft and her husband, Marvin of Austin, Texas, Martha Preuss and her husband, Allen of Rosenberg, Texas and Claire Berg and her husband, Delano "Del" of La Plata, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 5 nieces and 2 nephews.
